Healthy Ageing Programme Development Manager; Ageing Better

About

Jane is Ageing Better’s Healthy Ageing Programme Development Manager, working to support the vision of creating a society where everyone enjoys a good later life. She has over 15 years’ experience of working in programme leadership and project management in the fields of active and healthy ageing, falls prevention and social inclusion. During the past 6 years Jane has been working across Europe, as a member of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing, Action Group 2. She is currently developing the Healthy Ageing Programme to achieve their priority goal for people to have 5 more years’
preventable disability and to reduce the gap between the richest and the poorest people in disability-free life expectancy by 2035. This ambition sits within Ageing Better’s strategic ambition for more people to be in fulfilling work, in good health, living in safe and accessible homes and connected communities. Outside of work, Jane and her family are foster parents to early career Paralympic simmers based at the British Para-Olympic National Performance Centre in Manchester.
